Lucille Gosselin Obituary

New Bedford - Lucille D. (Sasseville) Gosselin, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.  Her greatest wish of three years is fufilled, joining George, her husband of 63 years, to continue their endless love story.
Daughter of the late Anna (Guevermont)  and Henri Sasseville, she was born and lived in New Bedford her whole life.  She was retired from the New Bedford School System.
Lucille was the most loving, devoted wife and mother.  We were so blessed to have had her in our lives.  She was always putting our needs and wants before her own.  We will miss her loving heart, warm smile and sense of humor.
Lucille leaves 2 heartbroken, grateful children, Paul Gosselin of Saco, ME and Susan Gosselin of New Bedford;  sisters, Claire Kirk of CT and the late Lorraine Gosselin; nephew, Joseph Gosselin, nieces, Ann Eaton and Monique Herold, all of CT, and Claire Dziezyk of ME.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lucille's funeral Mass in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, New Bedford, at 2 P.M., Saturday, April 22, 2017.
At Lucille's request, there is no visitation and burial will be at a later date.
We wish to thank our mom's caregiver angels, Colleen Cochran and Katherine Almeida, St. Luke's staff and nurses, as well as Southcoast Hospice Team for their kind, loving and thoughtful care to her at this time.
