Margarita Marrero

New Bedford – Margarita Marrero, 64, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Edwin Rodriguez-Rosa.
     Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Frank Marrero and Andrea DeJesus, she lived in this area most of her life.  She was a homemaker.
     Margarita was a Diaconal Treasurer of her church and loved to sing and pray.  She also enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family.
     She is survived by 3 sons, William Lucona, Juan P. Rodriguez and Edwin D. Rodriguez; 2 daughters, Carolina Rodriguez  and Yesenia Rodriguez; 2 brothers, 7 sisters, 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
     Calling hours are 9 – 11 A.M., Thursday, April 1, 2021 with a service at 11 A.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.  Please wear masks and practice social distancing.
