Maria S Ferrer-Pinet

New Bedford – Maria S. Ferrer-Pinet, 67, died Saturday, March 11, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Loiza, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Felix Ferrer and Luz Pinet, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was a homemaker.

Maria was a very happy and sociable person who always had a smile on her face. She liked flowers and birds, especially yellow flowers and parrots. Maria also enjoyed dancing and watching wrestling. She will always be remembered as a great mother and an excellent grandmother.  

Maria is survived by her daughter, Luz C. Lopez-Ferrer; 5 sisters; 4 brothers; 9 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Angel Lopez-Ferrer.

Visiting hours are Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 5 to 7:00p.m., with a service at 6:00p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
