Maria Rodriguez Sellas Obituary
New Bedford - Maria I . Rodriguez Sellas, 54, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Jesus Rodriguez and Manuela Sellas Soto, she lived in Virginia for several years before settling in New Bedford, 1 and a half years ago. She had been employed as a supermarket food packer.
Maria enjoyed sewing and decorating, whether it be parties for her grandchildren or other special occasions. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by 1 son, Luis Gonzalez and his wife, Maria of Virginia; 2 daughters, Johanna Santiago and her husband, Jose Medina of New Bedford, and Ariana Gonzalez and her husband, Roberto Rivera of Puerto Rico; 1 sister and 4 brothers; 7 grandchildren, Nellmarie Medina, Jose Medina, Nellyanne Medina, Anayra Rivera, Anna Izabel Rivera, Evlyana Gonzalez and Leilany Gonzalez; 1 great-grandchild, Jaziel Lozada Medina; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are 4-7 P.M., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 with a service at 6:30 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
