Boston – Mark M. Vigeant, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the longtime companion of Renee Domagala for 28 years.
Born in, and a lifetime resident of New Bedford, he was the son of the late Roland J. and Germaine (Poitras) Vigeant. He was a communicant of the former St. Jospeh - St. Therese Church and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Mark was self-employed in construction at Vigeant Equipment until his retirement. He had a passion for travel and exploring new places and adventures; "Let's go make some memories." He especially loved his nieces and nephews who joined him on many excursions throughout the years. As a devoted fan of hockey and baseball, he enjoyed going to the games and cheering his team on. He also enjoyed dining at his favorite restaurants and trying different spots. His best buddy was his dog, Roxy.
Survivors include Renee; two brothers, Donald and Pauline Vigeant of Rochester, MA and Leo and Anita Vigeant of Oklahoma; a sister, Anne Marie and Anthony Domagala of Westport, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Roland R. Vigeant.
