New Bedford - Mary A. (Motyl) Proulx, 89, died suddenly Saturday, September 5, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the long-time companion of the late John Medeiros.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Clemens and Mary A. (Dzioba) Motyl, she was a lifelong resident. She was employed by the textile industry until her retirement.
Mrs. Proulx's favorite pastime was walking.
Survivors include 2 sons, William Proulx of North Dartmouth and Steven Medeiros of Acushnet; 1 daughter, Susan Allen of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Dennis Proulx, grandmother of the late Steven Reeves; and sister of the late Clemence Motyl, Mitchell Motyl, Suzanne Galary and Stella Olejarz.
Her funeral Mass with cremains present will be at 10 A.M., Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, New Bedford.
