Nancy D. Souza

New Bedford – Nancy D. (Amaral) Souza, 78, of New Bedford, died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Souza.    
     Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Manuel and Sadie (Honeyman) Amaral, she lived here all her life.  She was a homemaker.
     Nancy loved holidays with family and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed the company of her beloved dogs, Meaty, Faith and Tonka, and sitting on her porch.  She will be dearly missed by many.
     She is survived by 1 son, Michael A. Souza; 1 daughter, Annmarie Edwards; 1 sister, Elaine Perry and husband, Robert of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     Nancy was the longtime companion of the late Manuel Travers and sister of the late Manuel Amaral, Jr.
