New Bedford – Noel W. Charron, 82, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, at Sacred Heart Home, New Bedford, after a long illness. He was the husband of Rhea (Boivin) Charron; they shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in New York, NY, the son of the late Oscar W. and Laurette (Saindon) Charron, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life. He was employed as a building inspector for the New Bedford Housing Authority until his retirement.
Mr. Charron was a communicant of and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at St. Mary’s Church of New Bedford. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Survivors include his wife, Rhea; 1 son, Peter Charron (Karen), 2 daughters, Kerrie Brum (Bill) and Lisa Charron (Stacey); 2 brothers, Marc Charron and Steven Charron; 2 sisters, Lucille Carrier and Therese Doucet; 4 grandchildren, Alexander Charron, Connor Charron, William Brum and Carolyn Brum.
Visitation is 4 to 7 P.M., Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His funeral is at 9 AM., Friday from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, New Bedford. Burial is in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
