Norman Morris Obituary
Fairhaven - Norman F. Morris, 77, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at home, peacefully. He was the husband of the late Cecille (Belanger) Morris.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Manuel and Antoinette (Marcotte) Morris, he lived here all his life, before moving to Fairhaven a few years ago. He was employed as a watchman for John I. Paulding until his retirement.
In his younger years, Norman was an amateur boxer at the YMCA and a recipient of the Golden Gloves Award. He enjoyed t.v. wrestling, fishing, and riding his scooter on the Fairhaven bike path where he met the many friendly people along the way. He especially loved being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Norma J. Bouthillette and her husband, Paul of Fairhaven; 4 grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Noah and Madison; 1 sister, Therese and 1 brother, Manuel, Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Dolores and Jeannette.
Norman's memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
