Patricia A. (Demers) Fal

New Bedford - Patricia Ann (Demers) Fal, 92, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.  She was the wife of the late Mitchell S. Fal.  She was also the wife of the late Clyde Young and the late Wilfred Demers.
     Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Patrick and Anna Hayes, she was a lifelong resident.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
     Mrs. Fal was employed at the Aerovox Corp. for 18 years, until her retirement.
     She enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling, and loved sports, especially the Red Sox, Patriots and NASCAR.  She had a very special love for her four boys.
     She is survived by 3 sons, David Demers and his wife, Patricia of Sebastian, FL, Peter Demers and his wife, Denise of West Barnstable, MA, and Joseph Demers and his wife, Nancy of Bourne, MA; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     She was the mother of the late Paul Demers and sister of the late Constance Andrews, Winifred Szynal, Daniel F. Hayes, Sister Mary Eileen Hayes, R.S.M., Christopher Hayes and Frances Andrews.
     A visiting hour is scheduled for 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M., in OLPH Church.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
