Penny Benoit Obituary
New Bedford - Penny L. (Charette) Benoit, 62, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at home.
Born in Wareham, daughter of the late Alphonse and Aileen (Pratt) Charette, she lived in New Bedford for many years. She was employed as a cashier until her illness.
Penny enjoyed bingo and especially spending time with her granddaughter, Lyric. We will miss her at playing cards on Saturday nights.
Survivors include 2 sons, Arthur Benoit and his girlfriend, Ashley Costa, and Stephen Benoit, Jr.; 2 brothers, Joseph Charette and David Charette; 4 sisters, Edith Franklin, Barbara Brown, Michelle Smith and Martha Moura; 4 grandchildren, Lyric Benoit, Stevlen Benoit, Jordan Benoit and Wahnesaha Benoit ; many nieces and nephews; 2 special nieces, Angela Sousa and Kathryn Moura and her good friend, Kelly Standish.
Visiting hours are 9 A.M. to 12 P.M., Friday, April 1, 2016, with a service at 11:30 A.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Penny's memory may be made to the family.
