Randy Karta

Randy Karta, 54, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly after a medical emergency, June 24, 2023.

Randy’s interests varied greatly from movies, classic TV shows, and attending concerts, to spending as much time outside tending to his garden.

Randy was a proud union laborer for Local 151 for 30 years with most of his career spent with Flett Construction, whom he worked tirelessly for and put everything into each job.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charlotte and Richard, and his brother, Brian.

Randy leaves behind his uncle, Robert and his wife Jenny; and 3 cousins. Randy is also survived by Justin DeSousa, who he recognized as his son and greatest achievement; Kathleen Crane, his companion and best friend; and his beloved kitties who were his babies.

Private arrangements are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
