New Bedford - Raymond M. Rapoza, 58, died Friday, October 30, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the life companion of Ana Brum for 20 years.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel and Julieta (Camara) Rapoza, he was a lifelong resident of the city. He was employed as a machine operator for the cardboard box industry.
Mr. Rapoza enjoyed playing cards and sports, such as the Red Sox and Raiders.
Survivors include his loving companion, Ana Brum of New Bedford; 1 son, Ryan J. Rapoza of New Bedford; 2 step-sons, Jake Brum and Timothy Brum, both of New Bedford; 1 sister, Debbie Sousa of New Bedford; and 2 step-grandsons, Justin Brum and Hunter Brum, both of New Bedford.
His visiting hours are 4 to 6 P.M., Saturday, November 7, 2015, with a memorial service at 5:30 P.M., at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
