Richard Deree, Jr. Obituary
New Bedford – Richard E. Deree, Jr., 66, died Friday, March 26, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Lucy (Bizarro) Deree.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Richard E., Sr. and Mary Anne (Perry) Deree, he lived here all his life. He was employed as a pressman at the Acushnet Co., Rubber Division until his retirement.
Richard greatly enjoyed playing pool, darts, shuffleboard and cards.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy; his daughter, Lisa Rodrigues and husband, John of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Joanne Berube, MaryJane Brown and Nancy Weaver; 2 brothers, Dennis Deree and William Deree; 4 grandchildren, Madison Oliveira, Makalia Clattenburg, James Deree and Cameron Deree; and 1 grandson, Lorenzo Carvalho.
Richard was the father of the late Richard E. Deree, III., and the brother of the late Michael Deree and David Deree.
