Richard F. Sedlock

Richard F. Sedlock, 90, died Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Alden Court Nursing Home in Fairhaven. He was the husband of the late Anita (Kasparian) Sedlock.

Born in Kansas, the son of the late Victor A. and Ann (Bodnar) Sedlock, Richard lived in Massachusetts for most of his life. He was a Franciscan Tertiary and taught at Boston College for many years. He was also a United States Army veteran.

In his free time, Richard enjoyed opera, music and reading.

He is survived by his son, John Sedlock; his daughter-in-law, Joanne Sedlock; his grandson, Ivan Sedlock; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Carolyn Flencker and Marlene Butner.

Visiting hours are Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, with a service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial at National Cemetery in Bourne is private.
