Robert H. Loiselle

Robert Henry Loiselle, 71, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Bob, as he was known to family & friends, was a lifelong New Bedford resident who loved watching the city from his front porch. The son of Henry and Cecila (Healy) Loiselle, he was a Marine Corps Veteran who served his country in the 1960's before returning home to start a family.  Bob is survived by his two children, Kimberly Loiselle of Ohio and Donald Loiselle and wife, Allison of North Carolina; seven beautiful grandchildren, seven adorable great-grandchildren with another one on the way, his siblings, Anita Roderick, Claire Lariziere, Janice Castello, Richard Loiselle and wife, Holly and 10 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger brother, Jerry.  Bob waged his battle not only with the help and care of his family, but also that of close friends for whom he was ever grateful.  His was a much loved voice on many a long distance phone calls with his children, and his contagious laugh will forever be missed by all who knew him.
