Rolande (Lemieux) Begin

New Bedford - Rolande (Lemieux) Begin, 84, died Monday, May 18, 2015, at Sacred Heart Home.  She was the wife of Joseph Begin.
     Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Olivier and Cecile (Doucet) Lemieux, she lived here all her life.  She was employed as a stitcher before her retirement.
     Mrs. Begin enjoyed making quilts, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint.
     Survivors include her husband, Joseph; 1 daughter, Janice Mello of New Bedford; 3 sons, Robert Begin of Fairhaven, Ronald Begin of Virginia, and Christopher Begin of New Bedford; 1 brother, Raymond Lemieux of Mattapoisett; 7 grandchildren, Matthew McAlister, Jacob Begin, Sarah Zahnan, Erin Denham, Amanda Angelo, Laura Begin and James Begin; and 3 great grandchildren, Morgan McAlister, Nathaniel Denham, and Jacob Denham.
     She was the sister of the late Theresa Savoie, Rita Sylvia, Cecile Charest and Leona Daniel.
     Her funeral Mass in St. Joseph - St. Therese Church and burial in Pine Grove Cemetery were private.
