Ronald V. Romanowicz

Ronald V. Romanowicz, 57, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was the son of the late Rudolph and Virginia (Kuczewski) Romanowicz.
     He leaves behind his beloved black lab, Raven who always remained by his side faithfully; ball in tow and ready to play.  She was his loyal and best friend to the end as well as his constant companion.  On one occasion, she even figured out a way to follow him into Trucchi’s on a grocery trip!
     Ronnie is survived by a daughter, Sarah Romanowicz; a son, Rudy Romanowicz; two sisters, Christine Teser of South Dartmouth, Deborah Machado and her husband, Edward of East Freetown; a brother, Danny Romanowicz of New Bedford.  He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Romanowicz.
     He is also survived by a niece, several nephews, cousins, an aunt and uncle whom he loved dearly.
     Ronnie graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School and Bridgewater State College.
     He worked at Norris H. Tripp Co. for many years.  Later in life he was self-employed.
     Ronnie had a great love of the Patriots and was a season ticket holder.  He also enjoyed watching the Red Sox with his late mother.
     His services are private.  Arrangements are in the care of Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
