Sandra L. (Phaneuf) Bourassa

Boston - Sandra L. (Phaneuf) Bourassa, 65, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Kindred Hospital.  She was the widow of Roland Bourassa.
     Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Wilfred A. and Irene (Cottle) Phaneuf, she lived in Acushnet for many years.  She was employed by the dry cleaning industry until her retirement.
     Mrs. Bourassa enjoyed reading, cooking, trips to Florida, cats and especially spending time with her family and friends.
     Survivors include 1 daughter, Nicolle L. Bourassa, 2 grandsons, Steven Bourassa-Arruda and Devin Bourassa-Melendez; and 2 great-grandsons, Kayvon and Kayson Bourassa-Arruda, all of New Bedford; and her best friend, Marlene Serpa of Fairhaven.
     She was the sister of the late Paul Phaneuf.
     Her visiting hours are 2 - 4 P.M., Thursday, September 8, 2016 with a service at 4 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Burial is private.  For condolences, please visit www.machnowskifuneral.com.
