Shirley M. (Medeiros) Messier

Fairhaven - Shirley M. (Medeiros) Messier, 79, of Fairhaven, died Monday, December 22, 2014, at Our Lady's Haven.  She was the wife of Gerard T. Messier.
     Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Charles and Marie D. (Lareau) Medeiros, she lived in Fairhaven.  She was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Our Lady's Haven until her retirement.
     She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
     Survivors include her husband, Gerard; a daughter, Diane Oliveira and husband, Richard of Fairhaven; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Messier, Nicholas Messier and Harleigh Oliveira; and 1 great granddaughter, Emmalyn Messier.
     She was the mother of the late Joseph LaCroix and Michael Messier.
