Fairhaven - Simone Beaulieu, 92, died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Alden Court Nursing Home.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Raphael and Angelina (St. Jean) Beaulieu, she lived here all her life.
Miss Beaulieu was a communicant of St. Joseph-St. Therese Church. She attended St. Joseph Elementary and New Bedford Vocational High School.
She was a member of the "Children of Mary", also Auxiliary of the Legion of Mary of her parish for about 50 years, and a promoter of the Miraculous Medal. She worked to promote EWTN Catholic Network, and made and taught plastic rosaries for "Missions".
Her employments included New England Cleaners during WWII and 40 years of faithful service as a supervisor at Acushnet Company, Titleist Golf Ball Division, hired by the late Richard Young, Sr.
Simone's favorite pastime was playing many musical instruments, especially the harmonica, enjoyed by family and friends.
Survivors include 1 sister, Therese Beaulieu: 13 nieces and nephews, J. Henri Beaulieu, Patricia Brackett, Albert J. Farland, Phyllis Daniels, Suzanne Hebert, Denis Hebert, Bernice Hebert, Lucy Normandin, Claire Ann Souza, Paul Cardoza, Philip Cardoza, Pamela Goldrick, Daniel Pauline and many loving great-great-great nephews and nieces.
She was the sister of the late Louis Andre Beaulieu, Gerard M. Beaulieu, August W. Beaulieu, Doris Farland, Claire Cardoza, Florence Pauline, Alice Beaulieu , and Rita Hebert.
The family is grateful for the care given to Simone from Community Nurse and Hospice Care.
Visiting hours are 4 - 7 P.M., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Her funeral Mass is at 9 A.M., Saturday, in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
