Sonia Negron

Sonia Negron, 77, died Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care in New Bedford.

Born in Canovanas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Virgilio and Josefa (Rivera) Negron.

In her free time, Sonia enjoyed cooking. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Sonia is survived by her son, Miguel Sevilla; three daughters, Nilsa Sevilla, Elizabeth Molina and Jeanette Carrasquillo; and many grandchildren. 

She was the mother of the late Jose L. Carrasquillo, Hipolito Sevilla, and Carmen Carrasquillo.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m, with a service at 5:30 p.m. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
