Sulgey Marcano-Melendez

New Bedford – Sulgey Marcano-Melendez, 46, died Saturday, April 22, 2023, after a long illness.

Born in Fajardo, Peurto Rico, daughter of the late David Marcano and Angela Melendez, she lived most of her life in Puerto Rico, before moving to the U.S. in 2016.

Sulgey loved to bake, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Yulianis Ortiz and Yashire Ortiz; her son, Jaime Ortiz; and 4 grandchildren.

Visiting hours are Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on at Machnowski Funeral Home, with a service at 6:30 P.M.
