Meadowbrook, PA - Tadeusz Blecharczyk, 94, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He was the husband of the late Armistice (Kuczewski) Blecharczyk.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Frank and Mary (Szafran) Blecharczyk, he lived here most of his life, before moving to Southampton, PA 5 years ago.
Mr. Blecharczyk was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, having retired as Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Air Force in 1971.
He was a member of the Polish Benefit Society, the Polish American World War Veterans, and the Air Force Association.
Survivors include 1 son, Ted M. Blecharczyk of Southampton, PA; 1 daughter, Donna Kay French and husband, James of Mt. Holly, NJ; 2 grandsons, Matthew French and wife, Donna and their son, Mason; and Michael French and wife, Cynthia and their sons, Andrew and Evan French.
He was the brother of the late Ludwik and Walter Blecharczyk.
Visitation is 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
