Ted Blecharczyk Obituary
Abington, PA – Ted Michael Blecharczyk, 67, affectionately known to his friends as “TM”, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Abington Hospital. He was the son of the late Lt. Col. Tadeusz and Armistice (Kuczewski) Blecharczyk.
Born in New Bedford, MA, Ted Michael and his family moved to Mt. Holly, NJ where his father was stationed for some years, and then moved on to Southampton, PA where he lived for several years. He was employed as an accountant.
He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Ted was a rotary member. He loved Philadelphia sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, and was a season ticket holder since 1985. He enjoyed playing golf, especially at his long-time club, Commonwealth Country Club, to which he was a member since 1993.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, James French; nephew, Matthew French and wife, Donna and their son, Mason and daughter, Amelia; nephew, Michael French and wife, Cynthia and their 2 sons, Andrew and Evan; and extended cousins of the Blecharczyk and Kuczewski families.
Ted was the brother of the late Donna Kay (Blecharczyk) French.
His funeral Mass in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery are private. Arrangements are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. For condolences, please visit www.machnowskifuneral.com.
