Theodore J. Pankiewicz

New Bedford - Theodore J. Pankiewicz, 82, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital.  He was the husband of Lillian (Courchaine) Pankiewicz.
     Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Theodore and Josephine (Dambrowski) Pankiewicz, he lived here all his life.  He was employed as a custodian at Old Colony Regional High School in Rochester until his retirement.  He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
     He enjoyed wood working, gardening and puzzles.
     Mr. Pankiewicz was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.
     Survivors include his wife, Lillian; 1 son, Mark Pankiewicz of Acushnet; 3 daughters, Ann Bento of Silver Lake, NH, Linda Oliver of Acushnet and Diane Goulder of Norton; 1 brother, Raymond Pankiewicz of Acushnet; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
     Visiting hours are 4 to 7 P.M.,Thursday, March 2, 2017, with a service at 6:30 P.M. at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.  Burial will be private.
