New Bedford – Mrs. Viola M. (Boulay) Racine, 92, left the trials and tribulations of this world late in the afternoon of January 10, 2019 after valiantly combating several health challenges. She was the wife of the late Armand J. Racine. Born in Quebec City, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Boutin) Boulay and lived in New Bedford most of her life. She was employed as a seamstress for Elco Dress Company for 40 years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with family.
Mrs. Racine died at home surrounded by her loving and devoted daughter, Michelle, her equally devoted and loving granddaughter, Rachel, great-grandson, Nicholas, her son, Dennis, and her constant and beloved four-legged companion of the last several years, Bully. She is survived by her daughter, Louise of Florida, brother Lucien of Rochester, MA, sister, Gaetane of New Bedford, great -grandson, Alexander, daughter-in-law, Nina and many relatives, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and good friends throughout the USA, Canada and other parts of this world. She was predeceased by her brothers, Marcel, Lionel, Dennis, Rejean, and her sisters, Simone and Lilliane. She will be missed more than words can describe.
