Walter Draus Obituary
New Bedford - Walter J. Draus, 96, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart Home. Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Antoni and Josephine (Wojcik) Draus, he lived in Acushnet most of his life. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He was employed as a machinist at Morse Twist Drill until his retirement.
Walter was U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a nephew, Walter A. Connor of New Bedford; 2 nieces, Joann Conti of New Bedford and Barbara Reed of Florida; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was the brother of the late Alexander Draus, Adolph Draus, Tessie M. Connor and Stephanie Korona.
Visitation is 9 to 10 A.M., Monday, November 20, 2017 with a service at 10 A.M. in Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
