New Bedford - Walter P. Jarosik, 68, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at home.
Born in Acushnet, son of the late Frank and Mary (Przywara) Jarosik, he lived in New Bedford all his life. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Walter was a 1964 graduate of New Bedford High School and a member of the first graduating class of Bristol Community College. He was employed as a mail carrier by the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years.
Walter was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1969 - 1989.
Survivors include his twin sisters, Helen Jackson of No. Dighton and Jane Schultz of St. Paul, MN; 1 brother, Edward Jarosik of New Bedford; 4 nieces and 10 nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved cat, Syd.
He was the brother of the late Casimir Jarosik.
Visiting hours will be 9:00 - 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 4, 2015 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 11:00 A.M., in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, New Bedford. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
