New Bedford - Wanda M. (Dubiel) Lisak, 88 died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Oaks. She was the wife of the late Chester Lisak.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, daughter of the late Frank and Stefania (Dzieciolowski) Dubiel, she lived in New Bedford most of her life. She was employed as a principal clerk for Rural Cemetery, city of New Bedford, before her retirement.
Two of Wanda's favorite pastimes were knitting and cooking. She enjoyed visiting with her friends at the various local senior centers.
She was the beloved mother of son, Thomas Lisak and his wife, Michelle of New Bedford and of daughter, Helen Ducharme and her husband, Mark of Sedona, AZ; beloved grandmother of Amy Gaines and her husband, Daniel of MD and of Timothy Lisak and his wife, Dorothy of North Dartmouth, and beloved greatgrandmother of Elizabeth Gaines, Emelia Gaines and Chase Lisak. She is also survived by 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
She was the sister of the late Helen Koska.
Visiting hours are 11 A.M. - 1 P.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 with a homily conducted by Pastor Joanne at Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will be private.
