William Johns Obituary
New Bedford – William A. Johns, 80, of New Bedford, died Thursday, February 28, 2019 at home. He was the son of the late Alfred and Helen (Demarais) Johns.
Born and educated in New Bedford, he lived in this city all his life. He was employed as a custodian for the New Bedford School Department until his retirement.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having attained the rank of Airman, 3rd Class.
Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth Schwartz of New Bedford; 2 nieces, Anne Coletti of Medford, and Beth Smith of Rochester; and 1 nephew, William Schwartz of Lakeville.
He was the brother of the late Alfred Johns.
His services and burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne are private.
