Wladyslawa (Armata) Bociek

Middleboro – Wladyslawa “Vaja” (Armata) Bociek, 95, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Nemasket Healthcare Center.  She was the wife of the late Harold Bociek.

     Born in Frysztak, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Tekla (Armata) Armata, and lived in New Bedford most of her life.

     Mrs. Bociek was a remarkable seamstress who had a talent for making her own beautiful clothes.  She enjoyed tending her flower and vegetable garden, and was an animal lover who even took care of all the stray cats in her neighborhood.

     She is survived by her niece, Susan Maguire; a sister Helena; and many nieces and nephews.

     Mrs. Bociek was predeceased by her sister, Franciszka and three brothers, Edward, Zdzislaw and Roman.
