New Bedford - Bridget J. (Wisneske) Finch, 95, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Richard G. Collins and the late Stanley Finch, and the companion of the late Frederick L. Schick.
     Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Alex and Bridget (Krzywos) Wisneske, she was a lifelong city resident.  Mrs. Finch graduated from New Bedford High School and the Newton - Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing.   She was employed as a licensed practical nurse until her retirement.
     Mrs. Finch enjoyed bridge, painting and needlepoint.  She was a hospice volunteer and a den mother of cubscouts for the former St. Anne's Church.  She was a Goldstar wife, a member of the AARP and member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
     Survivors include a daughter, Elisabeth Finch-Kaplan of Mattapoisett, a son, Barry R. Finch of Savannah, GA, and her beloved granddaughter, Regina Kaplan of Mattapoisett.
     Her funeral Mass will be at 9 A.M., Saturday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, New Bedford, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Friday, 4 - 7 P.M.
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Schwartz Center for Children, 1 Posa Place, Dartmouth, MA 02747.
